The idea for Strawa began when I was watching a documentary about how we have slowly destroyed our planet. 

 

We all sit at home thinking we do our bit by recycling but the truth is.... that's not enough. We need to stop producing and purchasing single-use plastic. It can take up to 1000 years for single-use plastic to break down into microplastics. It will never decompose! 14 billion pounds of rubbish (most of it plastic) gets dumped into the ocean every year!
